Young Adult Ministry

The group usually meets every other Wednesday from 7-9 pm in the Parish Center. The format is a potluck style social paired with some kind of "study." Our aim is to provide a space for young adults (generally 18-40ish) to gather for fellowship and talk about their faith. Other social activities are also offered throughout the year.

Lent Retreat

8-WEEK STUDY BEGINNING FEBRUARY 19, 7 PM, PARISH CENTER

This year's Lenten retreat is from David Shields, S.J. from Casa Romero Renewal Center, an urban bilingual retreat center located on Milwaukee’s South Side. Fr. Shields graduated from St. Louis University with a degree in Classical Languages and spent a number of years teaching high school. He spent nearly 20 years on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Since returning to Milwaukee, David has been active in supporting ministries in the Latino community. In 2001, he established Casa Romero Renewal Center and currently serves as the center’s Director of Spiritual Ministries. Fr. Shields has been directing and preaching retreats for over 30 years.

This small group retreat offers you an opportunity to experience the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola in a modified format. During the retreat, you will meet weekly in small groups, where you will have an opportunity to share about your prayer for the previous week and be given materials to pray with for the following week.  You are asked to commit to these weekly small group meetings and to pray with the material provided to you for 20-30 minutes a day. The cost to participate is $10 per person.

Dates: Feb. 19, March 4, 11, 18, 25 and April 1, 8 & 15
