STM Immigration Support Team will sponsor the monthly ICOM prayer vigil outside the Whipple Building / Immigration Court Tuesday, January 13 at 7:30 AM. Join in demonstrating and praying for immigrants going through the detention and deportation system. Learn about Dolores Huerta, immigrant and co-founder / leader of the United Farm Workers of America, and about the Mexican “Latina Rosie the Riveters” who played an unsung role in the US WWII effort. These immigrant women, along with St Francis Cabrini, helped shape US history and inspire our ongoing struggle for immigrants’ rights. We honor these immigrant women, along with the native Lakota people upon whose land the Whipple building stands.

Becoming a parent is a big transition. Supporting each other can make "the 4th trimester" easier and richer! New mothers and their babies in our community are invited to these Mother Baby Gatherings for fellowship and discussion. Discussion is organic and based on participants' interests and needs. Parishioners Anjanette Carr (and baby Rosie) and Chris Weimholt (mother of 4 young adults and RN)—will guide the group through topics including: Ways to take care of you, your partnership, your growing family, and community resources for support.

Please join us for any or all of these gatherings! We added in some Como Conservatory dates for the winter months in hopes of getting some fresh air and enjoying the warmth and natural beauty God has to offer. Feel free to drop in at any point during these times. We will continue to meet in Saint Ignatius Hall (downstairs), please ring the doorbell when you arrive if the door is locked.

Growing in community through monthly gatherings, we walk with your children as they navigate growing up in the Church and owning their faith. Our youth group is a place to grow in faith, have meaningful discussions, and build strong connections with other young people. Each teaching will be rooted in the Catholic faith and relevant to middle school life. The aim is to provide a welcoming space where young people can grow in their relationship with God and one another.

We will be serving pizza, light snacks, and beverages at each event. If your child has any dietary restrictions, please contact Will at wjohnson@morecommunity.org
