Join us in diving into the Book of Psalms this fall! We will be using the Little Rock Scripture materials, you can jump in right at this Part 2 discussion. All are welcome!

Please join us on November 2 at 5:30 PM in the church for a Requiem Mass for all the departed loved ones of our community. We will give thanks for those who have gone before us and lift them up in prayer. We invite you to bring a photo of your beloved deceased and place it on the communion rail before Mass. Throughout the entire month of November, we will pray for the deceased loves ones of our community members and all the faithful departed.

We will place our Book of the Dead in St. Therese’s chapel. Please stop by and add your loved ones’ names to the book. We will continue to pray for our community’s deceased loved ones throughout the month of November.

In honor of the World Day of Migrants and Refugees theme “Even just one of these children,” our book selection this fall will focus on the journeys of 3 children. "Refugee" by Alan Gratz tells the story of Josef, a Jewish boy living in the 1930’s, Isabel, a Cuban girl in 1994, and Mahmoud, a Syrian boy in 2015. Please RSVP here for this event. 

Our Youth Group is a place to grow in faith, have meaningful discussions, and build strong connections with other young people. Each teaching will be rooted in the Catholic faith and relevant to middle school life. The aim is to provide a welcoming space where young people can grow in their relationship with God and one another. 

This year we are planning to meet twice a month, on Friday evenings. We will be serving pizza, light snacks, and beverages at each event. If your child has any dietary restrictions, please contact Will at wjohnson@morecommunity.org Please RSVP here for each event so we know how much food to provide.

We would like to invite students grades 4–8 to serve as an acolyte at our weekend liturgies. Training will take place November 7 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in the church. Acolytes assist carrying out the ritual of Mass and other liturgical rites. These vested ministers are trained so that the ritual runs smoothly and efficiently. Open to grades 4 and up.

Our Widows Support Group offers a caring and compassionate space for widows to connect, share, and support one another through life's challenges. If you or someone you know is navigating the loss of a spouse and looking for friendship, understanding, and encouragement, we warmly invite you to join us. We meet the second Sunday of the month between the Sunday morning Masses downstairs in the Monserrat Room.

Join our STM Seniors for their monthly Mass & Lunch programming, with changing topics each month.
November's topic is all about ecology and beginner-friendly ways to be good stewards of your home. Parishioner Gabriel Reynolds will present.
Mass begins at 11:00 am, lunch begins at 12:00 pm, programming begins at 1:30 pm.

Monthly, we partner with local organizations to write birthday cards for incarcerated individuals. Writing cards is an attainable way for parishioners searching for a meaningful way to minister to the imprisoned and forgotten. Saints Who Inspire LGBT+ Catholics

Join us for a panel discussion of the saints and predecessors who inspire today's LGBT+ Catholics to follow Jesus. Eve Tushnet and Keith Wildenberg of Building Catholic Futures, a nonprofit that equips Catholic institutions to better serve and share the Gospel with gay people, will join Chris Damian for an evening of devotion and discussion! The panel starts at 7:00 pm in the St Ignatius Hall at STM. Registration is encouraged but not required. This event is free.

Confident Witnesses Retreat

Confident Witnesses is a retreat for people who identify as LGBT+/same-sex attracted and want to grow as witnesses to the Catholic faith. Retreatants will discern the ways their experience can be a gift to the Church, explore the challenges of leadership in this area, and connect their own stories with broader conversations about the mission of the Church, through prayer, fellowship, talks and discussions, and one-on-one mentoring. 4 Starting Points in Accompaniment of LGBT+ Catholics

This conversation is for people of any orientation who are accompanying LGBT+ people: as parents and loved ones, as clergy and people in pastoral care, and as friends and community members. Whether you are new to this conversation or a seasoned mentor, this conversation is for you! The afternoon concludes with Sung Choral Vespers at 4:00 pm with Saint Thomas More's Schola Cantorum. Join us for monthly Choral Vespers led by STM's Schola Cantorum, from 4:00-5:00 PM in our Church. The evening will contain choral and congregational music, Eucharistic Adoration, and a reflection from a member of the community. All are welcome to attend!
