The entire country of India is under a lockdown order even more stringent than ours here in Minnesota (for example, public transportation has almost entirely been suspended). On Easter Sunday evening, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya (the Governor) held an online Christian prayer service for the people of his state. Below are the official invitation, a letter from the Catholic diocesan office in Shillong urging participation, and lyrics to the song people would be singing – part English, part Khasi), as well as a video of the service itself.
The Catholic diocese of Shillong (of which SFX is a part) has a YouTube channel on which they broadcast a daily mass that many (but not all) parishioners have the ability to get. There is no technology for the parish itself, and so there currently are no parish liturgies at all.

Martha, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store.
She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would give her a few groceries on credit.
She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food.
The grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once.
In desperation, she pleaded: 'Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.'
The grocer told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store.
A well-dressed stranger standing beside the counter, overheard the conversation between the two. He walked forward and told the grocer that he would pay for whatever she needed for her family. The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, 'Do you have a grocery list?'
Martha replied, 'Yes sir.'
'O.K' he said, 'put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries.'
Martha hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed.
The eyes of the grocer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down.
The grocer, staring at the scales, turned slowly to the stranger and said begrudgingly, 'I can't believe it.'
The stranger smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more.
The grocer stood there in utter frustration. Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it in great amazement.
It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer, which said:
'Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands.'
The grocer gave her the groceries that he had gathered and stood in stunned silence.
Martha thanked him and left the store. The stranger who was Jesus, handed a Gold coin to the grocer and said the Creator knows how much a prayer weighs.'
The power: When you receive this, say a prayer. That's all you have to do.
Just stop right now, and say a prayer of thanks for your own good fortune...
I believe if you will send this out with prayer in faith, you will receive what you need God to do in you and your families' life.
So dear friend, trust God to know your very own needs, heal the sick, provide food for the hungry, clothes and shelter for those that don't have as we do.

It's exactly 40 days from 25th March to 3rd may...
Something is strangely biblical😇...
Quaratine. The Latin root of the word "quarantine" is "forty".
So what does the Bible say about 40?
The flood lasted 40 days.
40 years Moses fled Egypt.
40 days Moses stayed on Mount Sinai to receive the Commandments.
Exodus lasted 40 years.
Jesus fasted for 40 days.
Lent is 40 days.
40 days for a woman to rest after giving birth.
A group of theologians thinks the number 40 represents "change”. It is the time of preparing a person, or people, to make a fundamental change.
Something will happen after these 40 days. Just believe and pray. Remember, whenever the number 40 appears in the Bible, there is a "change".
Please know that during this "quarantine" rivers are cleaning up, vegetation is growing, the air is becoming cleaner because of less pollution, there is less theft and murder, healing is happening, and most importantly, people are turning to Christ. The Earth is at rest for the first time in many years and hearts are truly transforming.
So, during this time, enjoy it with your loved ones and return to the family altar together. Family prayer is a great blessing. Through prayer you will see the changes God can work in you and in your home. Christ promises us that everything works together for the good for those who love God: Romans 8:28!
Remember we are in the year 2020, and 20 + 20 = 40.
Also, 2020 is the year of the United States Census. Jesus Christ, the savior of the world, was born during a census.
Lastly, 2020 is perfect vision. May our sight focus on the Lord and living according to His perfect vision for us knowing He holds us in the palm of His hand.
May these days of "quarantine" bring spiritual liberation to our souls, our nation, and our world.
