John Paul, SJ is a member of the Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus who currently serves as the Rector of the Tantur Ecumenical Institute in Jerusalem. This mission was entrusted to the University of Notre Dame by Pope Paul VI, and strives to welcome Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox participants to encounter the sacredness of the Holy Land and to live and study in Tantur's rich ecumenical environment.
