At Masses the weekend of November 14/15, we will be hosting Father Daniel Griffith from Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Minneapolis who will preach on the topic of restorative justice and healing. He will focus specifically on the traumas we are facing including systemic racism, the Covid pandemic, and the clergy abuse crisis in this Archdiocese. The 4:30 pm Mass will be livestreamed and available on our website.
Restorative justice seeks to address harm and promote accountability by bringing folks together in dialogue who have been affected by crime or misconduct. Restorative justice are rooted in the practice of indigenous peoples who sought to solve problems by bringing people together in constructive dialogue.In the wake of the clergy abuse scandal, the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis has led a collaborative pilot program on restorative justice and healing in the Twin Cities, and Father Daniel Griffith is one of four members.
