A Life Update from our Director of Liturgy and Music

Dear Community of Saint Thomas More,
I hope you are well and having a fantastic summer.
I wanted to share an update that some of you may have heard through grape vine. Ashley, my wife, and I have been discerning over the past year that moving our family to northwestern Minnesota to be closer to family as we raise our children would be a wonderful and life-giving thing. That being said, I will be leaving STM, with my last day being August 29th. This was a terribly hard decision to make as I love this community, working with all of you, and being a part of our beautiful liturgies at STM. However, in the end we have decided that this would be best. In line with Ignatian discernment, we weighed the two good options closely, gave the outcome to God, and made a decision. We are now experiencing both the joy and sadness of our move.
My two and a half years here at STM have been enriching, formative, and quite a lot of fun! Thank you all for being so hospitable and supportive, it has meant a lot to my family and I. Keep doing the good, and essential, work of celebrating the liturgy well, singing boldly, and inviting others to share in the gift of Eucharist, Word, and Community.
