Mission Update from Fr. Aaron Malnick, SJ

APRIL 25, 2024

Thank you, Saint Thomas More, for your support and friendship over the past three years!
After many Wednesday morning Masses, helping out with Reconciliation services for the parish
and school during Advent and Lent, as well as celebrating and concelebrating Christmas, Ash
Wednesday, and Easter Masses throughout these past three years, as they say, “all good things
must come to an end.” I have recently been missioned to become a Vocations Promoter for the
Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus.

At the end of May I will move to Cincinnati which will become my “home base” for vocations
work; my general area of coverage will be Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, though I will be back
here from time-to-time to facilitate candidate events at the Novitiate. Vocations promotions will
include a lot of travel as I connect with men who are discerning life as a Jesuit priest or brother.
Within that travel, I will leading discernment retreats, celebrating Masses at Newman Centers
and Catholic high schools, as well spiritual direction for candidates to the Society.

I thank you all for your friendship, your openness, your prayerfulness, your goodness, and your
generosity to me; I am inspired by your faith and how you witness to our shared faith. I ask for
your prayers as I transition between cities and ministries, as well as your prayers for vocations to the Society of Jesus. And be assured of my prayers for you all as well!

“Then [Jesus] said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the
master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.’” (Matthew 9:37-38).

A+M+D+G,
Fr. Aaron Malnick, SJ
