A School Update from Principal Pat Lofton
MARCH 27, 2025
Dear Saint Thomas More Parishioners,
Our parish school has been a hub of activity over the past few weeks with our production of Beauty and The Beast earlier this month, basketball and swimming season wrapping up, and our seventh grade students participating in the Science Fair and our eighth grade students participating in History Day. Next week is middle school travel week as our eighth graders fly to Washington DC, our seventh graders head up to Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Ely, Minnesota, and our sixth grade students travel about the Twin Cities. Travel week is a special experience for our oldest students and is a longstanding tradition that is unique to our parish school.
If you have not heard, our school is continuing to grow! We currently have a wait list for next year’s kindergarten class, and several other grades are rapidly filling due to your good word and the very positive reputation of our school. We are looking for additional first graders for the upcoming school year since this year’s kindergarten class is so small relative to our other grades. If you know of any families who currently have a kindergartener at another school who are looking for a nurturing, loving, and inclusive learning environment that is steeped in Jesuit tradition, please encourage them to contact Bridget Her (
bher@morecommunity.org
) to learn more and to set up a tour with me in the coming weeks. We are also looking for students for our preschool and More’s 4s program so please contact our schools preschool Director, Barb Larkin (
blarkin@morecommunity.org
) to schedule a tour.
As we look ahead to April, I hope you will consider joining us for our annual school fundraising evening — the
STM Blue and Gold Auction
that will take place from 7-10 pm at the Saint Paul Event Center in downtown Saint Paul! This is a fantastic chance to make new friends and build connections with fellow STM families and supporters, while supporting a great cause-our parish school! To purchase tickets, please click on this
LINK
and reserve your spot!
Thank you for your continued prayer and support of our parish school!
Pat Lofton, Ed.S
Principal
