Get your hammers & paintbrushes ready–we have 2 Habitat for Humanity opportunities coming up! No prior experience is required.
STM is part of InterFaith Builders, an inter-denominational coalition of 10 Twin Cities Faith Communities. We are once again collaborating with Interfaith Builders this summer for Habitat for Humanity. We have been together for over 20 years! There are 8 faith communities participating: Macalester Plymouth United Church of Christ, Gloria Dei Lutheran, Holy Spirit Catholic, Olivet Congregational, St. Anthony Park Lutheran, St. Paul United Church of Christ, Temple of Aaron, and Saint Thomas More.
Reminder: Youth under 16 are not allowed to volunteer, and for every four youth 16-18 there will need to be one adult volunteer accompanying them.
HOME REPAIR: JUNE 14-17 (TUESDAY-FRIDAY)
This project is a neighborhood revitalization initiative including painting, landscaping, and minor repairs on a home on Jenks Avenue in St. Paul. Registration is now open. This is a great ‘entry’ volunteer experience for youth ages 16-18. You may sign up for as many days as you're able!
HOMEBUILDING: AUGUST 8-12 (MONDAY-FRIDAY)
This project is a new home construction at a site on 2nd Street North in Bayport on land donated by Anderson Corporation. Please only sign up for one day for this project as we can only have 15 people each day total. We’ll monitor registrations and if there are still open slots on June 5th, we’ll open up registration for multiple dates per person.
