This morning we will reflect on the significance of the founders of the Jesuits, Sts. Ignatius of Loyola and Francis Xavier, and their potential contribution to our own lives and spirituality. Ignatius is best known for his Spiritual Exercises and ways of praying; Francis was declared the patron saint of all missions because of his great missionary work.
Ed Sellner is professor emeritus in theology at St. Catherine University where he taught theology and spirituality for 35 years. Author of numerous books, he has traveled to sites in Spain associated with St. Ignatius, and to India, Japan, and China where St. Francis did his extraordinary missionary work.
