Thanks, Elderhood: Presentation on Aging

JANUARY 25, 3:00 PM, IGNATIUS HALL

In our Western culture where the ideal is to be young, there are a lot of negative messages about aging. Unfortunately these negative messages and attitudes can be internalized by older people and be a form of oppression called ageism. However, there are many blessings that come with aging and retirement that can be overlooked if the ideal is simply to be young.

Fr. Warren, along with the help of two wise elders, while acknowledging the challenges of aging, will offer a positive view of aging and being an elder and its many blessings.
