Sign up for a 15-minute prayer slot (or more)! Our goal is to be praying constantly, as a community, for the entire 30-hour time period!
At some point during your prayer slot, please pray
A Prayer Amid An Epidemic. Record yourself praying the prayer aloud and post on social with the hashtag #STMdayofprayer. If you aren't on social media, we invite you to email your video to
parish@morecommunity.org. (This part is encouraged but optional.)

To respect social distancing standards, you will be pointed to a specific seat upon arrival. Please enter the church through the Lexington Avenue entrance and exit through the east ramp door to parking lot. Please wear a face mask and stay at least 6 feet away from others at all times. PRAYER IDEAS
For Children:
- Sign of the Cross - When we make the sign of the cross, we proclaim our belief in the Holy Trinity—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Amen means “it is so" or "I agree." Saying Amen at the end of a prayer is a way of Praising God!
- Five Finger Prayer - This prayer practice assigns each finger something to pray for. The thumb is for those closest to us. The index finger for those who teach us, instruct us, and heal us. The middle finger, our tallest, is for our leaders. The ring finger, our weakest, for those who are weak and vulnerable. The pinky is for ourselves.
- Imaginative Prayer - Read a scripture passage from the Bible and imagine yourself in the passage. Use your 5 senses: sight, touch, smell, sound and taste to imagine what is happening in this passage. Put yourself into the passage and use the 5 senses to experience this time with Jesus.
- Prayer through Journals - First, gather your coloring utensils and a prayer journal. Second, think about the things you are thankful for in life. Next, on each page write and draw what you are thankful for in life.
For Adults and Families:
- Pray the Rosary - Think about the mysteries as you pray!
- Pray Morning or Evening Prayer - Visit Give Us This Day's website or download their app for an easy-to-use guide.
