Is the Bible about ONE thing? Many have suggested that the idea of COVENANT ties the whole Bible together. The word ‘testament’ as in ‘Old Testament’ and ‘New Testament’ means the same as covenant, which suggests its importance. Dr. Penchansky will trace the development of the covenantal idea and how it shapes much of what we know about the history of salvation, and the way the ancient Israelites understood their relationship with God.Through this unique exploration of covenant and its role in the Bible, we’ll trace how the ancient Israelites understood their relationship with God and how this foundational idea shapes the history of salvation.
