Seeking Applicants: Director of Youth Faith Formation

DESCRIPTION:
The Catholic Community of Saint Thomas More is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled individual to serve as the Director of Youth Formation. The Director of Youth Faith Formation will lead, develop and coordinate the First Communion, Confirmation, and provide engaging faith formation activities for children and invite parents to participate with their children. The objective is to facilitate the growth of children, parents and families in their relationship with Jesus Christ, the parish community, and the universal Church. Responsibilities also include development and oversight of youth and family formation, ongoing training of youth leaders, and service/mission-based opportunities for the youth.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Practicing Catholic with a sound understanding of Catholic Tradition and Scripture
Credible living witness of the faith with a deep commitment to the Church's teaching and mission
Desire to help lead teens and families of the Parish to become authentic disciples of Jesus Christ
College graduate with degree in Youth Ministry, Theology, Catholic Studies, or equivalent
Youth ministry experience of at least 3 years preferred
Solid communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with ability to initiate and problem solve
Comfortable leading and speaking to large groups of people, and working with volunteers
Successfully complete required background check and VIRTUS training
Demonstrated organizational skills
Have flexibility in working a wide variety of hours, including weekends and evenings
