Peaceful Presence

1ST WEDNESDAYS, 10-11 AM, STM CHURCH

We are reinstating our practice of Peaceful Presence at Saint Thomas More starting November 3rd and continuing on first Wednesday of each month. This hour is a time to gather in silence for personal prayer and meditation, accompanied by quiet, contemplative music.

This tradition was started back in 2008 at Central Presbyterian church in Downtown St. Paul. A small core group continued this practice until COVID forced its shutdown. Saint Thomas More is now continuing this tradition.

Although we prayed for justice after the murder of George Floyd, our new initiative will have no specific intention. This peaceful hour will be simply be used for personal prayer and reflection. Please feel free to come and stay as long as you are able, for ten minutes or a full hour, remembering that this is a time for silent prayer. All are welcome!

Please park in the back parking lot north of the church and enter the church using the metal ramp on the east side of the church.

On occasion, we may be asked to move the group due to the church requiring the space for a funeral or other liturgical event. In that case, there will be a notice as to where we will meet instead.

If you have any questions, please contact us!
