A Note from our new Director of Communications, Marie Valois
SEPTEMBER 18, 2025
Hello, St. Thomas More Community!
I am thrilled to be joining your community as the new Director of Communications! For the past two years I worked for the Minnesota Department of Health as a Communications Contractor, and before that I worked in the wedding industry.
Growing up I attended Saint Rose of Lima Catholic School, went to Roseville Area High School, and then attended the College of Saint Benedict. During high school I was heavily involved in my church’s youth group and am still close friends with many of the people today; I’m a third generation member of the Church of Corpus Christi and am forever grateful to have grown up in that faith-filled environment. I come from a very musical family where all my siblings and I participated in band, choir, jazz, and other various extra curricular ensembles. My time spent at St. Ben’s was full of friendship, music, and growth, and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without that special place. I’ve taken the Benedictine teachings to heart, greeting and caring for all people as if they were Christ themselves.
Outside of work you can find me reading, embroidering, hanging with friends, catching up on all things pop culture, and spending time with my nephew Wally. If any of those activities present me with an opportunity for a sweet treat- even better!
Throughout my career I’ve thrived in positions that directly impacted the lives of those around me, and as a former Catholic school kid I jumped at the opportunity to join a parish with such a joyful connection to a school. Please say hello if you see me around, I’m so excited to get involved and get to know you all! There is truly something special going on here at St. Thomas More.
Sincerely,
Marie Valois
