A Staff Update from Fr. RJ Fichtinger, S.J.

Dear St Thomas More,

Happy almost Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary!

It is an exciting time to be a part of our Saint Thomas More family as we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the dedication of the cornerstone on our altar in the main sanctuary. This celebration marks the beginning of a yearlong observance as we recognize the centennial of worship in our main worship space, highlighted with the 100th anniversary of the first Mass, said on the Feast of Saint Luke (October 18) in 1926.

As our community continues to be blessed with growth, a generous anonymous donor has graciously provided funding to meet the current needs of our parish. It is with this funding that I want to acknowledge a change of roles on our parish staff. Beginning this week, Brennan Hall, our Director of Communications, has taken on the role of Director of Stewardship and Development. Brennan’s new role will help streamline the data and communications surrounding the broader narrative of the parish and school, and will support our preparations for a possible capital campaign in January 2026.

Brennan was hired at Saint Thomas More three years ago this November. As Director of Communications, he has served our community by coordinating the STM Weekly Newsletter, supervising a Cristo Rey Communications Intern, filming and editing videos for our annual fish frys, leading marketing efforts for our school’s annual auction, and more. Brennan brings nearly a decade of communications expertise, database management skills, and a heart for ministry to this new role.

Please join me in congratulating Brennan as he steps into this next chapter of service to our community!
