A Note from our new Director of Stewardship and Development, Brennan Hall

AUGUST 13, 2025

Hello, STM community!

As we kick off our celebration of the 100th anniversary of our sanctuary's cornerstone, I am excited to begin serving you in my new role as Director of Stewardship and Development at Saint Thomas More. This new role comes with many exciting opportunities, and a continued commitment to promoting the incredible community we have at both the parish and school. Serving this historic parish and beautiful community as Director of Communications over the past three years has been a true blessing, and I look forward to continuing that service in new ways.

The Director of Stewardship and Development position is new to our staff. I am excited to grow both personally and professionally in this role, finding formative ways to connect my passion for this community with a newfound commitment to supporting its many ministries. As the Director of Stewardship and Development, I will be working to streamline our communications and data management, helping to tell the broader story of our parish and school while also supporting preparations for a potential capital campaign in January 2026. This builds upon the engaging Master Planning process with OPN Architects that provided a roadmap for the community in the coming years. Saint Thomas More is fortunate to have had significant growth and enters an exciting time for envisioning what our community can become in its second century at the corner of Summit Avenue and Lexington Parkway.

Personally, I am incredibly fortunate to be a part of this community. Though my spiritual formation and education are rooted in the Benedictine tradition, my admiration and appreciation for Ignatian Spirituality and the Jesuits continues to nurture my life. My family cherishes each liturgy, fish fry, and school function we attend. My wife, Laura, our son Crosby, and I often sit in the second pew on the right side at the 10:30am Sunday Mass–please feel free to say hello! We’re eagerly looking forward to Crosby joining Ms. Barb and the Saint Thomas More Preschool in winter 2027 and continuing to actively participate in the life of our parish.

As my transition into this new position is already underway, we will be seeking applicants for our Director of Communications position! Please help us spread the word by sharing this opportunity with any qualified professionals you may know. The job opening will be posted in the coming week.

I look forward to continuing my work in this beloved community, and I ask for your prayers as I keep you in mine.

Sincerely,

Brennan Hall
