Introducing our new Director of Youth Faith Formation

Hello, Saint Thomas More Community!

I am delighted and grateful to be named Director of Youth Faith Formation for the parish. I am originally from rural southwest Minnesota, and I lived on our family farm for 18 years before packing up and moving to the big city. I hold a bachelor’s degree in both secondary education and digital media arts from Hamline University, where I played basketball and ran track for four years.

I initially came to Saint Thomas More by chance in 2021, when I found myself at a school Mass: the only Ash Wednesday service that fit my schedule. After that, Saint Thomas More became a constant for me, and it has remained one of my favorite places in Saint Paul. (The convenience brought me in, and the community got me to stay!) I have a plethora of hobbies, including water and winter sports, music and theatre, photography and videography, and being a (painfully) loyal fan of Minnesota sports.

I believe my combination of degrees paired with my general zest for life will allow me to connect with the youth of the parish in a unique way. I am excited to meet more of you as time goes on, and I hope this ministry benefits both the young, and the young at heart, in some way, shape, or form as we continue to grow as a community following Christ.
