Collection for Immigrant Support Ministry
JANUARY 1, 2023
In celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord, we will be taking up a second collection at Masses the weekend of January 7/8 to benefit our
Immigrant Support Ministry
. In doing this, we affirm STM’s ongoing commitment to support and advocate for the needs of our undocumented immigrant brothers and sisters.
Since July 2017, this ministry has served multiple families through our Holy Family Apartment. We have accompanied these families and provided food, shelter, clothing, medical attention, translation services, connection and immigration/asylum resources, legal counsel, education, and spiritual support. This care and accompaniment has been made possible by our STM volunteers and by financial donations specifically tagged for Immigrant Support.
This year, your support is especially important as we strive to help the family we have supported over the last several years move into housing that more adequately addresses their needs and their growing children. Through parishioners and other community members we have been able to find a place that fits the bill, but this means that what had been a relatively stable stream of donations and expenditures is in need of your support. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
You may
donate online
, bring your donation to Mass, or mail your gift to the Parish Center. One-time or sustaining donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
