Mass for Life

Please join the STM A Community Caring for Life committee at the daily 7:15 am Mass as we commemorate the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973. We will pray for renewed respect and protection for all members of the human family, including unborn children and their mothers. Come to the Parish Center after for a quick cup of coffee and pastry.

A SOCIETY IS BEST JUDGED BY HOW IT TREATS ITS MOST VULNERABLE MEMBERS

Here are some ideas to help promote a culture of life:

• Designate a prayer or say a decade of the Rosary on the Anniversary of Roe v. Wade
• Pray the Novena for Life
• Write a personal note to your legislators regarding a Life issue about which you are passionate
• Pray at a Planned Parenthood
• Make a meal or dessert for a new mother
• Rake leaves for an elderly neighbor
• When walking, get off your phone and smile at people you pass
• Say a rosary for someone
• Collect food (or donate) for a food shelf and drop it off
• Visit a grandparent or someone in our life you haven’t seen in a while (send a note if visiting isn’t possible)
• Offer to babysit for someone for free
• Volunteer at Birthright
• Volunteer to help out at St. Thomas More School
• Send a thank you card to a Military Veteran for service to our country
  
• Light a candle at church for the intention to stop abortion
• Read about the plight of migrants past and present
• Watch a sunrise or sunset and reflect on God’s creation
• Donate money to a legal aid center
• Spend one day and try to recognize God in EVERY person you encounter
• Work in the STM Free Store
• Buy an extra  pair of mittens, warm hat or socks and donate to the STM Free Store
• Speak up against hate, prejudice, and racial discrimination
  
• Educate yourself on the Catholic Social Teachings of the Church
  
• Pray, then act
  
• Love your neighbor
  
• Volunteer to feed the Homeless at St. Stephen's Catholic Church(Minneapolis)
