In giving retreats, people sometimes tell Fr. Warren that they don't know how to pray. More often, they have limited and restricted ways of praying that need to be expanded. There is no one right way to pray. St. Ignatius gives a number of methods in his Spiritual Exercises. Beyond this there are other ways to pray in our Christian tradition, some from the ancient Benedictine tradition. In this simple, practical presentation Fr. Warren will share different ways to pray from our Ignatian and broader Christian tradition. There will be a chance to practice prayer through experiential exercises.Fr. Warren's hope is that this will help you find a way to pray that's best for you.
Fr. Warren entered the Jesuits in 1964 and was ordained in June 1977. He has Master's Degrees in Pastoral Counseling, Philosophy and a Master of Divinity. He became the Pastor of St. Thomas More in June, 2016 and retired in June, 2022. He has enjoyed his 50+ years as Jesuit and is grateful for the various ministries he’s been called to that have provided opportunities to make a difference in the world and in peoples’ lives.
