Meet our Pastoral Council: Camille Wilkerson
Meet our Pastoral Council: Camille Wilkerson
Hello Saint Thomas More Community,
My husband, Eric, and I joined Saint Thomas More in 2018. Right away, we were drawn to the
depth of the homilies, the inclusive nature of the community, and the many opportunities
offered for spiritual growth. We both graduated from Creighton University, so we felt at home
in the Jesuit values. We now have two daughters, Eva (4) and Katherine (2). I am a nurse and
am currently taking a brief career pause to spend quality time at home with our kids.
Several years ago, we were involved in the Young Adults group which helped us feel connected
to the church and the community. We have participated in many Lent and Advent retreats and
did the 18 th annotation of Ignatian Spirituality, allowing for both spiritual and personal growth.
Recently, I joined the Justice in Action Committee and look forward to getting more involved in
that group.
At Saint Thomas More, we really value the welcoming community, the orientation towards
social justice, and the desire to nourish our whole selves through our faith. As a member of the
Pastoral Council, I will strive to be a listening ear for the community and to make everyone feel
like they have a home in our parish. I hope to bring compassion, curiosity and open
mindedness as I work to serve our faith community.
Sincerely,
Camille Wilkerson
