Meet our Pastoral Council: Ken Goodpaster
Meet our Pastoral Council: Ken Goodpaster
Ken Goodpaster is a retired Professor of Business Ethics who taught at the University of St. Thomas, Harvard Business School, and Notre Dame. He and his wife, Harriet—a retired software engineer and dedicated equestrian of 20 years—have three adult children: Beth, a retired attorney; John, a professor of Forensic Chemistry; and Kate, who owns and manages a horse farm in Hugo, MN. They are also proud grandparents to four grandchildren and caretakers of two Morgan horses.
The Goodpasters joined St. Thomas More (then St. Luke) in 1989, drawn by its welcoming spirit, vibrant school community, and convenient location. Ken served as a trustee of STM for eight years and continues to stay active through the Ignatian Spirituality Project and by facilitating Ignatian Advent and Lenten Retreats. As a member of the Pastoral Council, he hopes to help strengthen lay leadership within the parish and support the pastor in navigating the challenges and opportunities of our faith community.
