For our next study, we will be studying the apostolic exhortation of Pope Francis, “Rejoice and Be Glad,” or Gaudete et Exsultate. There are four chapters and we will go through one each week, accompanied by food and fellowship. We hope to provide you with some discussion questions to reflect on prior to our Wednesday gathering, so look for those coming to your email. Sign up here if you'd like to contribute to the potluck. A copy of the exhortation can be bought online or you may access an online version. Following our Feb. 20th meeting, we will have Lenten groups starting up! As usual, we’ll be meeting in the parish center library at 7:30 pm.
The dates/chapters are as follows:
January 9th (Chapter 1)
January 23rd (Chapter 2)
February 6th (Chapter 3) Study Questions
February 20th (Chapter 4)
This Lenten retreat offers you an opportunity to experience the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola in a modified format. You will meet weekly in small groups, where you'll have an opportunity to share about your prayer for the previous week and be given materials to pray with for the following week. You're asked to commit to these weekly meetings and to pray with the material provided for 20-30 minutes a day.
