Seeking Applicants: Assistant Preschool Teacher

DESCRIPTION:
Do you want to work with supportive and caring coworkers? How about in an environment with great resources and wonderful families? We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher who has a love for children and fun to join our team. As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. You will develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, provide individualized instruction, and promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. And better yet, we are located on historic Summit Avenue!
DUTIES:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the preschool curriculum
Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Provide individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of each child
Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning activities
Use effective behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior
Collaborate with parents and guardians to support each child's learning and development
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Education, desired, but not required. 4 year degree a must!
Previous experience working with children in a preschool or early childhood setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation
Understanding of literacy education, physical education, and special education principles
Excellent classroom management skills
Commitment to the well-being and welfare of all children
