Seeking Applicants: Assistant Preschool Teacher

DESCRIPTION:


Do you want to work with supportive and caring coworkers? How about in an environment with great resources and wonderful families? We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher who has a love for children and fun to join our team. As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. You will develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, provide individualized instruction, and promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. And better yet, we are located on historic Summit Avenue!

 

DUTIES:

 

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the preschool curriculum
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
  • Provide individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of each child
  • Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning activities
  • Use effective behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to support each child's learning and development
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills 


 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, desired, but not required. 4 year degree a must!
  • Previous experience working with children in a preschool or early childhood setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation
  • Understanding of literacy education, physical education, and special education principles
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Commitment to the well-being and welfare of all children
