St. Thomas More Joins Inaugural AMDG Program: A Journey of Faith and Service

JULY 2025 – OCTOBER 2027

St. Thomas More, along with other Jesuit parishes and schools nationwide, has been invited to participate in the inaugural AMDG program through the Institute for Ignatian Spirituality at Boston College. This year, a cohort of 10 young adults from our parish will embark on a two-year journey exploring the teachings of St. Ignatius through prayer and service in our community. Program commitments include a trip to Boston College (July 13-18, 2025) to kick off the program, an Ignatian retreat at a Jesuit retreat house (Winter 2025/26), a pilgrimage on the Camino de Ignaciano (Spring/Summer 2026), and ongoing service and formation experiences.

Continue to pray for this group of young adults as they go on this journey of faith and service. We are so proud of you all. Come, Holy Spirit!

"AMDG has had a busy fall! At the end of October, we had the chance to travel to Grand Coteau, Louisiana for a silent retreat, reflecting on an abbreviated version of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Along with lots of time for silent reflection, we were able to visit the shrine of St. John Berchmans and the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette, LA. We are looking forward to diving more into the Spiritual Exercises this Spring!"

"The AMDG program is off to a great start! This summer, we embarked on the start of our year-long journey of spiritual growth and fellowship by kicking things off at Boston College. Highlights included wisdom shared from guest speakers, pockets of prayer and reflection, and even an excursion into Boston! Since returning to Minnesota, we've continued to grow in kinship with one another and those in our community that we look to serve; next weekend, we fly down to Louisiana for a silent retreat. Keep a lookout for us as we continue to meet and serve our community this fall!"
