Qualified Charitable Distribution

Saint Thomas More welcomes gifts made through a Qualified Charitable Distribution from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA). If you are age 70½ or older, a QCD is one of the most tax-efficient ways to support our parish — the distribution goes directly from your IRA to Saint Thomas More, satisfying all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution without being counted as taxable income.

To make a QCD, contact your IRA administrator and request a direct distribution to Saint Thomas More Catholic Community in Saint Paul, MN. Once your distribution is initiated, please use the form below to notify our parish office. This helps us ensure your gift is properly documented, acknowledged, and — if you wish — directed to a specific ministry or fund.
