Meet our Pastoral Council: Maureen Fischer
Meet our Pastoral Council: Maureen Fischer
Hello Saint Thomas More Community,
My husband and I have been members at STM for 5 years. We have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. Deacon Fish and I joined the parish after moving to St. Paul in 2019, just months before the Covid outbreak. The proximity to our house, access to mass during Covid, as well experiencing radical hospitality attracted us to STM, but the people, the staff, faith formation and service opportunities are the reason we continue to call it our church home.
Professionally, I am semi-retired and currently work two days a week at a small company in the west metro, but my career has been as a food editor/consultant working with many of the food companies in the metro area.
Within the parish, I have been a lector and hospitality minister. I volunteer at the Free Store and have been active in many Lenten/Advent small groups and retreats.
I am honored to be part of the Parish Council, and my goal is to collectively walk with others as they seek Jesus, to give back some of what this community has given to me and to help STM flourish.
Sincerely,
Maureen Fischer
