Seeking Applicants: Part-Time Business Administrator

DUTIES:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations of the parish including accounting, receivables, payables, expense accounts, investments, payroll, and cashflow.
  • Collaborate with the pastor, principal, and finance council to plan and monitor the annual budget.
  • Generate accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Ensure receipts for pledges are properly recorded against open pledges.
  • Ensure that all donor gifts and grants are stewarded and tracked according to the donor’s intent.
  • Arrange for audits and follow through in making recommended changes.
  • Establish efficient methods to record, interpret, and proactively communicate key financial and operational data to both the leadership and community.
  • Advise and assist in implementing financial strategies that positively impact the parish’s financial position and long-term viability.
  • Collaborate with the director of operations to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance financial operations.

Weekly schedule is anticipated to be approximately 20 hours per week.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; effective listener
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively and with a variety of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of accounting software and competence working with technology
  • Outstanding organizational skills; attentive to detail
  • Background check and safe environment certification; must be obtained within 30 days of hire
