Seeking Applicants: Part-Time Business Administrator
APRIL 10, 2024
DUTIES:
Oversee day-to-day financial operations of the parish including accounting, receivables, payables, expense accounts, investments, payroll, and cashflow.
Collaborate with the pastor, principal, and finance council to plan and monitor the annual budget.
Generate accurate and timely financial reports.
Ensure receipts for pledges are properly recorded against open pledges.
Ensure that all donor gifts and grants are stewarded and tracked according to the donor’s intent.
Arrange for audits and follow through in making recommended changes.
Establish efficient methods to record, interpret, and proactively communicate key financial and operational data to both the leadership and community.
Advise and assist in implementing financial strategies that positively impact the parish’s financial position and long-term viability.
Collaborate with the director of operations to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance financial operations.
Weekly schedule is anticipated to be approximately 20 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other related field
Excellent oral and written communication skills; effective listener
Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively and with a variety of stakeholders
Knowledge of accounting software and competence working with technology
Outstanding organizational skills; attentive to detail
Background check and safe environment certification; must be obtained within 30 days of hire
