Saint Thomas More offers full-day for kindergarten.

Kinders at Saint Thomas More not only acquire core academic skills, they also develop social skills fundamental to success throughout life. These foundational skills include:

• Getting along with others
• Taking turns
• Listening and following directions
• Working as a group

At the heart of what happens each day in kindergarten at Saint Thomas More is a simple belief that kinders learn best through play, discovery, and creativity. Hands-on activities, songs, stories, rhymes, actions, finger plays, and art projects make learning fun.

A literature-based language arts program builds kinders' listening, speaking, writing, and reading skills. Kinders at all reading levels from pre-readers to those reading far above grade level are engaged to improve their reading ability. Our experienced and knowledgeable kindergarten faculty continually assesses and responds to these individual student learning needs.

Classroom learning centers allow students to work in small groups and include materials that appeal to various learning styles and abilities.
