Grades 6-8

science1Saint Thomas More middle school students are given many opportunities to refine their academic, social, religious and critical thinking skills. We expect that students in grades 6-8 will:

  • sharpen their critical thinking and communication skills
  • connect learning across the curriculum
  • read a wide variety of literature and further develop writing skills
  • build a solid foundation of math concepts, moving into algebra I
  • learn and apply the scientific method in a “hands-on” science lab
  • draw connections across historical time periods and understand how the past shapes today’s world
  • study the Catholic faith, social teachings and morality
  • act as "hands and feet" of Christ in our larger world

Class Photos on Second Floor

If the middle school students on the second floor feel like they are being watched, it's because they are!  Our maintenance staff has begun hanging photos of graduating classes of years past.  So far, the Immaculate Heart of Mary graduating classes from 1954 to 1991 have already been hung and we are currently seeking photos of the graduating classes of St. Luke's so that they can be added to the walls.  If you have any information, or have a photo that you could contribute, please call the school office at 651-224-4836.
