Uniforms

Saint Thomas More requires all students to wear an approved school uniform.

Why Uniforms?

lunchmsBoth public and parochial school research has confirmed that uniforms eliminate distractions, helps students focus throughout their school day, and promote discipline.  Uniforms reduce competition related to clothing trends and save families money over time.

Well-designed uniforms look good.  If students look good, they are likely to feel good about and respect themselves.  Additionally, uniforms enable students to be easily identifiable as a member of Saint Thomas More School, fostering a sense of community.

Uniform Policy Overview

techlab1The base uniform colors are navy blue, gold and light blue.

For girls, the uniform consists of a plaid jumper; plaid skirt; solid navy or light blue shirt options, including a button-down oxford; navy pants, shorts, and sweaters; and navy or white stockings.

For boys, the options are solid navy or light blue shirt options, including a button-down oxford; navy pants, shorts and sweaters.

On Fridays, students are allowed to wear the annual Saint Thomas More t-shirt in lieu of their regular uniforms.

Additional guidelines are in place by grade level for uniforms, hair, jewelry and shoes.  For full details, consult the school handbook or speak to the school administrator.
