Children's Faith Formation is one part of the total Faith Formation programming of Saint Thomas More Catholic Community. Along with Sacramental Preparation, summer growth programs and Liturgy of the Word for Children, it serves as a main vehicle for assisting parents in the faith development of their children. We offer the following programs:

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - June 25-29, 9 a.m. to Noon

Step back in time for a fun-filled week of cool crafts, great music and terrific Bible-times games! Learn about the life of Daniel, who lived between 605 and 530 BC while we remember how God is always with us, no matter what happens to us!  VBS is for children ages 4 (entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2013) through those finishing 4th grade.  Friends of parishioners are welcome. Volunteers are needed! Register before May 1, 2012 to be assured of a spot. You don't want to miss this fun week!

SUMMER STRETCH - A Gospel-Based Program for Middle School Students

Summer Stretch is a service and recreation program that runs for six Thursdays between June 21 and August 2.  It is for those finishing 5th through 8th grade. Friends of parishioners are also welcome to participate. Our desire is that this program will help and encourage students to put their faith into action. On Thursday mornings, participants reflect on the Word of God and perform service projects. In the afternoon, they enjoy fellowship at an area recreational facility. Over 50 churches in the metropolitan area have a Summer Stretch program. We meet for an all day celebration at Valleyfair on our final session.

Beginner Faith Formation is for children who are at least three years old and have not yet entered Kindergarten. Sessions are held on Sundays three times a month from October through early May from 10:15 to 11:30 am. Children use song, stories, and age-appropriate activities to learn about God’s love, prayer, and the many gifts God has given them.

Beginner Faith Formation Calendar

Track 1: Attend just the large group sessions, suitable for Catholic school families OR

Track 2: Attend the large group sessions AND participate in a home study course with a separate textbook and parental support, suitable for public and home school families.
